Our first priority is to help you create and follow a skin care program that results in the healthiest skin possible. We strive to educate you about how and why some treatments and products work better than others for your unique skin.

Medical Expertise = Healthy Skin

Maximizing the benefits of skin care treatments and products requires an understanding of the structure and function of the skin and underlying tissues. Without this understanding, even well intentioned skin care providers cannot obtain the best possible results. Our staff consists entirely of Registered Nurses trained in dermatology or medical aesthetics. They possess the medical expertise to effectively identify and treat skin conditions, to recognize conditions that may require diagnosis by physicians, and to provide physician referrals with documentation when such conditions are encountered. Our Medical Director, Dr. Isaac Gomez-Avraham, is a Tucson physician who reviews all policies, procedures, treatment records, and training.

Consultant = Provider

After consulting a medical professional to determine the most effective skin care treatment, the finest results are obtained when the same medical professional performs the treatment. An employee or assistant who did not examine the client and who often lacks the same level of expertise as the consultant is not in a position to provide the best treatment or to properly evaluate the outcome. Our Registered Nurses provide the consultations, perform the treatments, and constantly evaluate the results to ensure that your goals are met.

There are three keys to making an effective skin care program pleasant and enjoyable: physical comfort, emotional support, and understanding the purpose and benefits of the program. Rushed appointments, failure to utilize comfortable treatment techniques or equipment, and lack of consideration for your desires or fears can make skin care difficult. Everyone at Skin Care By Design works on salary, not commission. That allows our professionals to recommend the best services and products for your needs without influence from financial incentives. Let's face it - if the size of the paycheck depends on the size of your purchase, it simply isn't possible to be completely objective about recommendations and sales pressure. There are no high pressure sales at Skin Care By Design.
