What is VelaShape Body Sculpting?

VelaShape is the only FDA cleared device that effectively and safely contours, shapes, and slims the body by reducing cellulite and firming problem areas in as little as four treatments.

VelaShape features the revolutionary elōs (ELectro-Optical Synergy) technology of Bi-Polar Radiofrequency (RF), Infrared Light Energy, plus Vacuum and Mechanical Massage. The precise tissue heating provided by elōs technology ensures a safe, effective, fast treatment with no downtime. Vacuum and specially designed rollers for the Mechanical Massage smooth the skin to facilitate safe and efficient heat energy delivery. These effects increase the metabolism of stored energy, increase lymphatic drainage, and reduce the size of the actual fat cells and fat chambers.

Who are the best candidates for VelaShape Body Sculpting?

The ideal VelaShape patient is someone with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of less than 30 who falls under Cellulite Classification Levels 1 and 2 in the chart below. Individuals who do not meet these criteria can be treated but the effects will likely be less noticeable. Click My BMI to calculate your BMI and use the Back button to return to this page.

The Nurnberger-Muller Cellulite Classification Scale
Stage 1 - no dimpling while the patient is standing or lying down, but the pinch test reveals the "orange peel" appearance. Stage 2 - "orange peel" dimpling appears spontaneously when standing up, but not when lying down. Stage 3 - "orange peel" dimpling appears spontaneously both when standing up and lying down.

What are the benefits?

How many treatments do you need?

Six treatments at one week intervals are recommended to obtain the full effects. After completing the initial treatment series, monthly maintenance treatments are recommended for the first three months with quarterly maintenance treatments thereafter.

Things you should know.

Redness and swelling after the treatment is normal and usually lasts for less than four hours.

Side effects are rare and limited to the treatment sites. Bruising is common and normally heals within three days (up to ten days may be required for some clients). Very rarely, scabbing or blistering can occur for clients with very loose skin.

VelaShape is not a permanent cure for cellulite or body reshaping. It is a temporary measure and all clients will require maintenance therapy to maintain the cosmetic benefit.

We highly recommend that clients who undergo VelaShape start an exercise program and follow a balanced diet to maintain and augment the effects of VelaShape.

How much time is required?

Each appointment is normally 60 minutes. If multiple areas will be treated in the same session, more time is required. Your skin care nurse can provide a more precise time estimate after examining you and discussing your goals.

How much does it cost?

Package of four (10% discount) 1,260
Package of six (20% discount) 1,680

Many skin care providers quote body sculpting prices in "hand sized" or "sheet of paper sized" areas. When comparing prices, ask how many "areas" would be required to treat your desired area for the average person (e.g., For the average woman, how many treatment areas make up the full buttocks?).
