Juvederm Ultra Plus XC™ Dermal Filler
What is Juvederm Ultra Plus XC™?
Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a safe, FDA approved, colorless, hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. It is the filler of choice for lip enhancement because of its exceptionally smooth texture. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. The role of hyaluronic acid in the skin is to deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water, and to act as a cushioning agent. A fine needle is used to inject Juvederm Ultra Plus XC immediately under the wrinkle or skin fold where it adds volume to smooth the surface of the skin.
What results can you expect?
The results are immediate and very natural looking. There is little or no down time and most people return to their normal daily activities right after their visit.
How many treatments do you need?
Juvederm Ultra Plus XC lasts up to one year. A touch-up approximately one month after the initial treatment may be required to achieve optimal results.
Things you should know.
As with any injection, you may experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. Juvederm Ultra Plus XC contains lidocaine, an anesthetic that makes the procedure more comfortable. Additional topical or local anesthetic may be administered for comfort and the cost is included in the treatment price.
How much time is required?
The initial injections usually require one hour. The injection of multiple syringes or the application of a local anesthetic may increase this to ninety minutes. Followup visits for touchups are usually thirty minutes or less. Your skin care nurse can provide a more precise time estimate after examining you and discussing the amount of correction you desire.
How much does it cost?
$499 per .8ml syringe. One person may require more volume than another person to achieve the same effect and people may differ on the amount of improvement desired. Your nurse will consult with you to determine the ideal amount of Juvederm Ultra Plus XC for your needs. Syringes cannot be divided or used for more than one client.
Juvederm Ultra Plus XC has the same ingredient (hyaluronic acid) as Restylane-L. It is the longest lasting of the pure hyaluronic acid fillers, which makes it ideal for people with busy schedules.

Radiesse® Dermal Filler
What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse is a safe, FDA approved dermal filler that delivers immediate, long lasting, natural looking results. It is made of unique calcium-based microspheres (calcium hydroxylapatite) suspended in a natural, water-based gel and is designed to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. A fine needle is used to inject Radiesse into the deep dermis beneath the wrinkle or skin fold where it adds volume to plump up the skin. The microspheres form a scaffold to support and stimulate the growth of your own new collagen. Your nurse will gently massage the treated area to ensure an even correction.
What results can you expect?
The results are immediate, long lasting, and natural looking. There is little or no down time and most people return to their normal daily activities right after their visit.
How many treatments do you need?
Unlike previous generations of dermal fillers, Radiesse usually lasts 1 to 1½ years. A touch-up approximately one month after the initial treatment may be required to achieve optimal results.
Things you should know.
Because Radiesse is designed for injection into the deep dermis, we do not recommend it for lip enhancement.
As with any injection, you may experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. A topical or local anesthetic may be administered for comfort and the cost is included in the treatment price.
The microspheres in Radiesse can be seen in X-rays and CT scans so you should inform your doctor and other health care professionals that you have had facial Radiesse injections. There is little risk that it would cause your doctor concern as long as s/he is aware of the injections.

No Time On Your Hands
What is 'No Time On Your Hands'?
As we age, our hands lose the collagen and elastin that keeps them looking full, smooth, and firm. At the same time, our hands begin to show the uneven pigmentation, brown spots, and poor skin texture produced by time and the sun. Our 'No Time On Your Hands' treatment uses Radiesse dermal filler to restore the soft, smooth, firm feel of younger hands. Your choice of an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment or laser brown spot removal lets your hands look as young and beautiful as they feel.
Radiesse is a safe, FDA approved dermal filler that delivers immediate, long lasting, natural looking results. It is made of unique calcium-based microspheres (calcium hydroxylapatite) suspended in a natural, water-based gel. A fine needle is used to inject Radiesse into the back of the hands to smooth wrinkles and hollow areas. The microspheres form a scaffold to support and stimulate the growth of your own new collagen. Your nurse will gently massage the treated area to ensure an even correction.
An IPL treatment targets pigmentation and tiny surface veins to dramatically improve skin tone and reduce redness. The light energy penetrates your skin's surface to stimulate the production of additional collagen. As the new collagen forms, it softens your hands, tightens hollow skin areas, and decreases fine lines and wrinkles.
If your skin has darker age spots, laser brown spot removal may provide more dramatic results than the IPL treatment. Melanocytes are cells that protect the skin from ultraviolet light by producing melanin, the dark pigment in skin tans. Over time, sun exposure, hormonal changes, and some medications may cause melanocytes to group together and produce excess pigment, which darkens the skin cells surrounding the melanocytes. When these cells rise to the epidermis, they produce brown spots, age spots, and freckles. The laser emits a beam of light energy that is absorbed by the melanin, which vaporizes the blemish. This creates a small red or grey colored burn that produces a scab within several days. The healing time for the treated area is normally 7 - 10 days. The healed skin is initially pink but regains pigmentation and blends into the surrounding skin.
What results can you expect?
The results from Radiesse are immediate, long lasting, and natural looking. There is little or no down time and most people return to their normal daily activities right after their visit. Radiesse usually lasts 1 to 1½ years and no touch-up is required.
After only one IPL treatment, your hands will have a more even tone with a smoother look and feel. Sunspots will fade, pore sizes will shrink, and fine lines and wrinkles will decrease in size. There is no down time from this treatment. Depending on the amount of sun damage or uneven pigmentation, additional IPL treatments may be required to achieve optimal results. Your skin care nurse will discuss this with you during your consultation and there is a separate charge for additional IPL treatments.
Laser brown spot removal produces small burns that normally heal in 7 - 10 days. The healed skin is initially pink but regains pigmentation and blends into the surrounding skin.
Things you should know.
Radiesse is mixed with lidocaine, an anesthetic that makes the procedure more comfortable. Additional topical or local anesthetic may be administered for comfort and the cost is included in the treatment price. As with any injection, you may experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the Radiesse injection sites. The microspheres in Radiesse can be seen in X-rays and CT scans so you should inform your doctor and other health care professionals that you have had Radiesse injections. There is little risk that it would cause your doctor concern as long as s/he is aware of the injections.
Side effects of the IPL treatment are rare and limited to the treatment sites. They include the possibility of mild burns or blistering, discomfort, scabbing, bruising, pigmentation changes, scarring, and infection.
Laser brown spot removal does not prevent new brown spots from forming, even in the treated area. Melanocytes are a normal component of the skin and new groupings of melanocytes may form at any time in response to sun exposure, hormonal changes, or medications (particularly antibiotics). After treatment, you should avoid sun exposure and use a broad spectrum sunscreen (minimum 30 SPF) every day.
Complete information about the different portions of the treatment can be found on the service pages for Radiesse, IPL Photorejuvenation, and Laser Brown Spot Removal.
How much time is required?
No Time On Your Hands requires two sessions. The initial session is for the IPL treatment or laser brown spot removal and usually requires 30 minutes. The second session is for the Radiesse injections and usually requires 30 - 60 minutes. The application of additional local anesthetic may increase this to 90 minutes.
Two sessions are required because the IPL treatment or laser brown spot removal temporarily reduces the moisture in the underlying tissues of the treated areas and Radiesse requires moist tissue at the time of injection. Two sessions are also more comfortable for you. We recommend that the second session be scheduled at least 3 days after the first session and up to 10 days later if significant healing is required for laser brown spot removal.
How much does it cost?
$998 includes two 1.5ml syringes of Radiesse and your choice of an IPL treatment for the hands or laser brown spot removal. That's a savings of $300!! If desired, additional IPL hand treatments are $100 each.
