Microdermabrasion
What is a Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a lunchtime peel that takes half an hour to perform and has no downtime. It can be performed on the face, neck, shoulders, back, arms, and legs. The revolutionary Vibraderm uses a vibrating, abrasive, stainless steel paddle to remove dead or damaged skin cells with exquisite control and comfort, leaving the skin surface smooth and polished. This eliminates the mess and discomfort often associated with crystal and suction systems. View Vibraderm microdermabrador
What are the benefits?
A medical microdermabrasion improves skin texture and tone and polishes the outside of the skin. It stimulates collagen production to make the lower layers of skin firmer. This reduces the appearance of fine lines, stretch marks, and acne scars. It is excellent for the treatment of milia (tiny blemishes resembling whiteheads).
How many treatments do you need?
This varies depending on the severity of the skin condition you want to improve. A single treatment can give you that polished look for a special occasion. If you have milia or acne scars, we usually recommend four treatments at one week intervals to obtain the desired improvement. Maintenance treatments to keep your skin looking its best should occur at four week intervals. Spot treatments are also available for small problem areas.
Things you should know.
There is no downtime but you may appear flushed for 15-30 minutes after the treatment. At the treatment site, Microdermabrasion can activate an existing herpes condition and may aggravate Rosacea or dilated capillaries (telangiectasia). This treatment should not be performed if you have taken Accutane within the past twelve months and you should avoid the use of RetinA, Renova, or glycolic acids within three days before or after the treatment.
How much time is required?
30 minutes.
How much does it cost?
$99 each, $269 for a package of three (~10% discount), $479 for a package of six (~20% discount). Spot treatments are normally $25 per area.
